So I'll focus my remarks specifically on CSTA's findings with respect to peer review and ensuring excellence in federally performed S and T. I think there has been a handout of slides, so I'll just mention when I'm changing.

Le plus remarquable, c'est notamment que la proposition de la Commission représente une nouveauté sans précédent, dans la mesure où l'article 169, certes un excellent concept, est ainsi appliqué concrètement pour la première fois, et où cette orientation instaure un véritable partenariat concret autour d'un problème réel concernant l'hémisphère Nord et Sud.
Moreover, the best aspect of this work is that the Commission’s proposal is an unprecedented innovation in that, although Article 169 is an excellent formulation, it is being applied in practice for the first time, and, by taking this line, we are creating a genuine, tangible partnership to address a real problem concerning the northern and southern hemispheres.

Dernière remarque : Stockholm doit être un sommet social par excellence, qui ne ramène pas tout à la politique du marché de l'emploi, même si elle est importante, mais qui ébauche aussi des pistes pour l'avenir, concernant la solidarité et la cohésion sociales.
Lastly: Stockholm must first and foremost be a social summit which does not reduce everything to labour market policy, however important that may be, but also maps out courses for the future with regard to social cohesion and solidarity.
