Un gouvernement responsable reconnaîtrait, par ce geste tout à fait légitime, une situation problématique qu'il a lui-même créée et reconnaîtrait aussi d'emblée l'apport extraordinaire que ces mêmes personnes, nos aînés, par leur travail et leur dévouement, ont apporté à l'épanouissement du Québec et du Canada.
A responsible government, by means of this quite legitimate gesture, would acknowledge a problematic situation that it had created itself, and also thus acknowledge the outstanding contribution made by those very individuals, our seniors, through their hard work and dedication, to the development of Quebec and Canada.
