La Commission européenne a présenté aujourd’hui une proposition de ratification, par l’Union, de l’accord de Paris, qui est le premier accord universel et juridiquement contraignant en matière de lutte contre le changement climatique.
The European Commission today presented a proposal for the European Union to ratify the Paris Agreement, the world's first universal, legally binding deal to tackle climate change.

2. relève avec une profonde indignation que sept États membres de l'Union européenne ont constitué un bloc minoritaire faisant obstacle au processus de ratification du traité; demande au Conseil et aux États membres d'accélérer le processus de ratification, sans subordonner la ratification à la révision du cadre juridique de l'Union ni à la décision de la Cour de justice de l'Union européenne;

Quelles sont les initiatives que la Présidence française de l'Union a prises ou entend prendre, tant au niveau des pays membres qu'au niveau des relations avec les pays tiers, pour accélérer le processus de ratification des autres pays membres ainsi que du plus grand nombre de pays tiers afin que le nombre de 60 ratifications nécessaires à l'entrée en fonction de la Cour soit atteint le plus rapidement possible ?
What initiatives has the French Council Presidency taken, or does it intend to take, vis-à-vis both the Member States and third countries with a view to accelerating the ratification process in the Member States which have not yet ratified the Statute and in the larger number of third countries so that the 60 ratifications required for the Court to begin its work may be secured at the earliest possible date?
