TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

1. Le comité d'association institué conformément à l'article 7 de l'accord établissant une association entre l'Union européenne et ses États membres, d'une part, et l'Amérique centrale, d'autre part (ci-après dénommé «accord»), accomplit ses tâches comme le prévoit l'accord et assume la responsabilité de la mise en œuvre générale de l'accord.
1. The Association Committee that is established in accordance with Article 7 of the Agreement establishing an Association between the European Union and its Member States, on the one hand, and Central America, on the other, (‘the Agreement’) shall perform its duties as provided for in the Agreement and take responsibility for the general implementation of the Agreement.

5. Calls on civil society organisations in the Andean Countries and in the European Union to participate in the monitoring mechanisms established in the Trade Agreement under the title of Trade and Sustainable Development; calls on the governments involved to set up, as soon as possible, the legal framework for the domestic mechanisms and dialogue with civil society if these do not exist, including a substantial information and advertising campaign to maximise participation of the interested groups or persons in the monitoring framework of the Civil Society Mechanism; suggests that these procedures be set up within six months of the entry into force of the Agreement, instead of one year as set out in the Trade Agreement ;

En application de l’article 96 de l’accord de partenariat ACP-UE et considérant que le coup d’État militaire du 5 décembre 2006 constituait une violation des éléments essentiels visés à son article 9, l’Union européenne a invité les Fidji à des consultations, comme le prévoit l’accord de partenariat ACP-UE, en vue de procéder à un examen approfondi de la situation et, le cas échéant, de prendre des mesures pour y remédier.
Under Article 96 of the ACP-EU Partnership Agreement, and considering that the military takeover on 5 December 2006 constituted a violation of the essential elements listed in Article 9 thereof, the EU invited Fiji to consultations, as provided for in the ACP-EU Partnership Agreement, in order to thoroughly examine the situation and, where necessary, take steps to remedy it.

3. rappelle au Conseil et à la Commission que, au niveau transatlantique, l'article 4 de l'accord entre l'Union européenne et les États-Unis en matière d'entraide judiciaire, qui entrera en vigueur le 1 janvier 2010, prévoit d'accorder l'accès à des données financières ciblées, sur demande, par l'intermédiaire des autorités nationales, et qu'il semble plus judicieux de prendre cet accord comme base juridique pour les transferts de données SWIFT que l'accord provisoire proposé; demande tant au Conseil qu'à la Commission d'expliquer la nécessité d'un tel accord provisoire;

Reminds the Council and the Commission that, within the transatlantic framework of the EU-US agreement on legal assistance, which will enter into force on 1 January 2010, Article 4 provides for access to be granted to targeted financial data upon request, through national state authorities, and that this might constitute a sounder legal basis for the transfer of SWIFT data than the proposed interim agreement, and asks the Council and the Commission to explain the need for an interim agreement;

The financing of Europol shall be subject to an agreement by the European Parliament and the Council (hereinafter referred to as the budgetary authority) as provided for in the Interinstitutional Agreement of 17 May 2006 between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission on budgetary discipline and sound financial management (15).
