(2.1) Aucune déduction ne peut être faite en application des paragraphes (1) ou (2) dans le calcul du revenu imposable d’une institution financière déterminée relativement à un dividende que celle-ci a reçu sur une action qui était, au moment de la réception du dividende, une action privilégiée à terme, à l’exception d’un dividende sur une action du capital-actions d’une société qui n’a pas été acquise dans le cours normal des activités de l’entreprise exploitée par l’institution. Pour l’application du présent paragraphe, si une institution financière véritable a reçu le dividende sur une action du capital-actions d’une société de placement à capital variable ou d’une société de placement après que cette société de placement à capital variable ou cette société de placement a choisi, conformément au paragraphe 131(10), de ne pas être une institution financière véritable, l’action est réputée être une action privilégiée à terme acquise dans le cours normal des activités de l’entreprise.
(2.1) No deduction may be made under subsection (1) or (2) in computing the taxable income of a specified financial institution in respect of a dividend received by it on a share that was, at the time the dividend was received, a term preferred share, other than a dividend on a share of the capital stock of a corporation that was not acquired in the ordinary course of the business carried on by the institution, and for the purposes of this subsection, if a restricted financial institution received the dividend on a share of the capital stock of a mutual fund corporation or an investment corporation at any time after the mutual fund or investment corporation has elected under subsection 131(10) not to be a restricted financial institution, the share is deemed to be a term preferred share acquired in the ordinary course of business.

Regrets that, for the second time, structural defects have been discovered in Parliament's buildings, this time in the wooden ceiling beams of Parliament's Brussels Chamber; calls on DG INLO to make a full review of the structural situation of all of Parliament's buildings starting with those ones which still are guaranteed by the project developer against hidden faults, if possible with the support of a few selected experts from the national building offices of different Members States, making full use of in-house accumulated knowledge; calls on the Secretary-General to present a plan to the Bureau soon with all the technical details for these works plus the costs involved;

18. regrette que le financement minimal proposé pour la contribution du Fonds, à savoir 100 000 000 EUR - avec une contribution limitée à 15 000 000 EUR respectivement pour 2007 et 2008 -, soit terriblement insuffisant pour réaliser l'objectif consistant à augmenter le nombre de projets en faveur de l'efficacité énergétique et des énergies renouvelables et à contribuer considérablement au développement durable et regrette que, jusqu'à présent, peu de pays seulement aient choisi de participer financièrement au Fonds; demande dès lors instamment à la Commission de revoir sa contribution à la hausse et encourage parallèlement les États membres ainsi que les institutions financières multilatérales à unir leur forces pour augmenter de manière significative la dotation de ce Fonds; invite le plus possible d'États membres à apporter leur soutien financier;
18. Regrets the fact that the suggested minimum funding target of EUR 100 million − with a contribution of only EUR 15 million for each of the years 2007 and 2008 − is woefully inadequate as the GEEREF's contribution when the goal is to "boost the share of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and substantially contribute to sustainable development", and that, as yet, only a few countries have chosen to participate financially in the fund; therefore urges the Commission to increase its contribution while at the same time encouraging Member States as well as multilateral financial institutions to join forces in order to significantly increase the size of the fund; calls for many more Members States to offer financial support;

12. est vivement préoccupé par les doutes qui avaient été émis, en rapport avec la construction du bâtiment Altiero Spinelli, quant à l'application et à l'exécution correctes des procédures légales pertinentes; est tenu par les traités d'appliquer les mêmes critères pour la décharge sur l'exécution des budgets de toutes les institutions; eu égard à l'acquisition éventuelle d'autres bâtiments, s'attend à ce qu'une présentation des options dont le Parlement dispose, assortie d'une évaluation juridique desdites options, soit faite devant les commissions compétentes; relève, à cet égard, que les procédures choisies par le Parlement doivent demeurer irréprochables ; demande au Bureau de présenter, avant le 1er juillet 2000, des options concernant un plan d'action et de financement précis, en particulier pour le bâtiment Louise Weiss à Strasbourg, assorties d'une évaluation juridique de ces options tenant compte de l'état des négociations;
12. Is very alarmed at the doubts that have arisen in connection with the construction of the Altiero Spinelli building about whether the relevant legal procedures have been properly applied and implemented; is obliged, under the Treaty, to apply the same standards in respect of the discharge of the implementation of the budget of all institutions; expects, in view of the possible purchase of further buildings, the options available to Parliament to be presented as rapidly as possible, including a legal assessment of these options, to the committees responsible; notes in this respect that the procedures selected by Parliament must remain unimpeachable; requests the Bureau to present options for an accurate action and financing plan, in particular for the Louise Weiss building in Strasbourg, including their legal assessment taking into account the situation of negotiations, before 1 July 2000;
