Points out that, as regards price impacts, the results of research undertaken by a French consumer organisation diverge widely from the findings of the Commission’s report as regards the costs of introducing country-of-origin labelling; recommends that this issue be further examined in order to gain a clearer picture of the possible price effects, provided that such an examination is done in conjunction with consumer organisations and would not delay legislative proposals;
