Je dois rappeler à cette Chambre que la proposition de la Commission et les amendements du Parlement européen lui ont été soumis il y a plus d'un an, et mon groupe souhaite donc demander à la présidence portugaise d'envisager sérieusement la tenue d'une réunion extraordinaire du Conseil à cette fin.
I feel I must remind the House that the European Commission proposal and amendments by the European Parliament were submitted to it over a year ago, and so my group wishes to ask the Portuguese Presidency to seriously consider calling an extraordinary meeting of the Council to this end.
