TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

I. considérant que les Burundais se sont rendus aux urnes le lundi 29 juin 2015 lors des élections locales et législatives, dans la perspective de l'élection présidentielle du 15 juillet, en dépit de l'avertissement lancé par l'Union africaine et la Communauté de l'Afrique de l'Est (CAE), à savoir que "les conditions ne sont pas réunies pour la tenue de scrutins crédibles", et de l'appel du sommet de la CAE à un report des élections pour une période n'allant pas au-delà du mandat constitutionnel conféré aux autorités actuelles ainsi qu'à l'arrêt des violences, afin d'instaurer des conditions propices à l'organisation d'élections libres, régulières et crédibles;
I. whereas Burundi went to polls on Monday 29 June 2015 in local and parliamentary elections, ahead of the presidential vote on 15 July, despite the warning of both the African Union and the East African Community (EAC) that ‘conditions for the holding of elections do not currently exist’ and the call of the EAC Summit for the postponement of the elections for a period not exceeding the constitutional mandate of the current authorities and for the cessation of violence, in order to create conditions conducive to the organisation of free, fair and credible elections;

6. insiste sur l'importance de la tenue d'élections libres, régulières et transparentes et encourage l'Union et ses États membres à continuer de soutenir et d'assister les autorités, les partis politiques et la société civile égyptiens dans les efforts qu'ils déploient pour atteindre cet objectif; invite le Conseil suprême des forces armées à autoriser des observateurs indépendants à assister et à surveiller la prochaine élection présidentielle; invite la vice-présidente de la Commission et haute représentante à mettre en place une taskforce associant le Parlement européen pour soutenir le processus de transition démocratique, en réponse aux demandes des acteurs du changement démocratique, en particulier dans la perspective de l'organisation d'élections libres et démocratiques et de la mise en place du cadre institutionnel, notamment l'instauration d'un système judiciaire indépendant;
6. Stresses the importance of holding free, fair and transparent elections, and encourages the EU and its Member States to continue supporting and assisting the Egyptian authorities, political parties and civil society in their efforts to achieve this goal; calls on the SCAF to allow independent observers to witness and monitor the forthcoming presidential elections; calls on the VP/HR to promote the setting-up of a task force involving the European Parliament to support the democratic transition process, in keeping with the call made by those working for democratic change, in particular as regards the holding of free and democratic elections and institution-building, including the development of an independent judiciary;

19. s'inquiète de la perspective d'élections présidentielles organisées avant les élections législatives, comme proposé dans le projet de constitution, en raison du risque que les élections législatives soient reportées indéfiniment; s'inquiète notamment de ce que, si l'inscription des électeurs n'est pas terminée à temps, l'élection présidentielle puisse être perçue comme manquant de légitimité, ce qui réduirait l'autorité du président élu; croit qu'il pourrait être judicieux d'organiser simultanément les deux élections afin d'éviter d'importants coûts additionnels, ce qui entraînerait un retard de quelques mois sans aller toutefois au-delà de la mi-octobre 2004;
19. Is concerned about the prospect of presidential elections being held ahead of those for the parliament, as proposed in the draft constitution, because of the risk that parliamentary elections could be postponed indefinitely; is particularly concerned that if voter registration is not completed in time, a presidential election could be perceived as lacking in legitimacy and consequently reduce the elected president's authority; believes instead that, in order for both elections to be held at the same time, and to thereby also avoid enormous additional costs, it would be acceptable to postpone both elections by a few months, but to no later than mid-October 2004,

L'UE engage les autorités géorgiennes à poursuivre leurs efforts dans la perspective des élections législatives prévues pour le 28 mars, en donnant suite aux recommandations formulées par la Mission internationale d'observation des élections (MIOE), qui a observé l'élection présidentielle du 4 janvier.
The EU urges the Georgian authorities to continue their efforts in preparation for the parliamentary elections due to be held on 28 March, acting upon the recommendations made by the International Election Observation Mission (IEOM) which observed the presidential elections on 4 January.
