The Contracting Parties shall assist each other, at their own initiative and in accordance with the laws and regulations of each Contracting Party, if they consider that to be necessary for the correct application of customs legislation, in particular, in situations that could involve substantial damage to the economy, public health, public security, or similar vital interest of the other Contracting Party, particularly by providing information obtained pertaining to:

Each Party shall, within the framework of its national legislation, ensure that any person who considers that his or her request for information under Article 11(2), has been ignored, wrongfully refused, whether in part or in full, inadequately answered, or otherwise not dealt with in accordance with the provisions of that paragraph has access to a review procedure before a court of law or another independent and impartial body established by law.

If two or more parties within the same undertaking indicate their willingness to engage in settlement discussions pursuant to the first subparagraph, they shall appoint a joint representation to engage in discussions with the Commission on their behalf. (b) Where a Party considers that it has, for its territory or a region, a special status with respect to a specific animal disease other than those in Appendix III. The importing Party may request guarantees in respect of imports of live animals and animal products, which are appropriate to the agreed status of the Parties.
