IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

La transmission et le traitement des informations et des documents transmis au Parlement européen au titre du présent article respectent les règles relatives à la transmission et au traitement des informations classifiées en vigueur entre le Parlement européen et la Commission.
The transmission and handling of information and documents transmitted to the European Parliament under this Article shall comply with rules concerning the forwarding and handling of classified information which are applicable between the European Parliament and the Commission.

5. Un acte délégué adopté en vertu de l'article 13, paragraphe 5, et de l'article 36 n'entre en vigueur que si le Parlement européen ou le Conseil n'a pas exprimé d'objections dans un délai de deux mois à compter de la notification de cet acte au Parlement européen et au Conseil ou si, avant l'expiration de ce délai, le Parlement européen et le Conseil ont tous deux informé la Commission de leur intention de ne pas exprimer d'objections.
5. A delegated act adopted pursuant to Article 13(5) and Article 36 shall enter into force only if no objection has been expressed either by the European Parliament or the Council within a period of two months of notification of that act to the European Parliament and the Council or if, before the expiry of that period, the European Parliament and the Council have both informed the Commission that they will not object.

Recalls the role of the EP LUX Prize, which has gained increasing recognition over the years, in promoting European films by translating subtitles for the winning film into all 24 official Union languages and thus ensuring greater visibility, awareness and availability for European films; invites the national parliaments to further promote the LUX Prize in the Member States in cooperation with the Information Offices of the European Parliament;

3. Classified information shall be provided to the European Parliament under this Agreement once the Council, together with the European Parliament, has determined that equivalence has been achieved between the basic principles and minimum standards for protecting classified information in the European Parliament’s and in the Council’s security rules, on the one hand, and between the level of protection afforded to classified information in the premises of the European Parliament and of the Council, on the other.

3. Avant de se voir accorder l’accès à une information classifiée, les députés au Parlement européen sont informés de leurs responsabilités en matière de protection de telles informations et prennent acte de ces responsabilités, conformément aux règles de sécurité du Parlement européen, et sont informés des moyens d’assurer cette protection.
3. Before being granted access to classified information, Members of the European Parliament shall be briefed on and acknowledge their responsibilities to protect such information in accordance with the European Parliament’s security rules, and briefed on the means of ensuring such protection.

5. 5. Notwithstanding point (c) of paragraph 1 of this Article, information classified up to the level of CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL or its equivalent provided by the Council to the European Parliament may be discussed at meetings held in camera and attended only by Members of the European Parliament and those officials of the European Parliament and other Parliament employees working for political groups who have been granted access to the information in accordance with Article 4(4) and Article 5(4).

In the context of Regulation (EU) No ./2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of .amending certain regulations relating to the common commercial policy as regards the procedures for the adoption of certain measures and Regulation (EU) No ./2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of .amending certain regulations relating to the common commercial policy as regards the granting of delegated and implementing powers for the adoption of certain measures, the Commission recalls the commitment it has made in paragraph 15 of the Framework Agreement on relations between the European Parliament and the European Commission to provide to the Parliament full information and documentation on its meetings with national experts within the framework of its work on the preparation of delegated acts.

In the light of the Framework Agreement on relations between the European Parliament and the European Commission signed on 20 October 2010 (‘the Framework Agreement’) and the Interinstitutional Agreement between the European Parliament and the Council concerning the forwarding to and handling by the European Parliament of classified information held by the Council on matters other than those in the area of the Common Foreign and Security Policy signed on 12 March 2014 (‘the Interinstitutional Agreement’), it is necessary to lay down specific rules on the treatment of confidential information by the European Parliament.

Sont établies des procédures garantissant, si des renseignements défavorables viennent à être communiqués à propos d'un fonctionnaire du Parlement européen ou d'un autre employé du Parlement travaillant pour un groupe politique, que des mesures sont prises pour déterminer si cette personne effectue un travail lui donnant accès à des informations classifiées, ou si elle a accès à des systèmes de communication ou d'information sécurisés, et que le service compétent du Parlement européen est informé.
Procedures shall be established to ensure that, when adverse information becomes known concerning an official of the European Parliament or other Parliament employee working for a political group, steps are taken to determine whether that individual's work brings him or her into contact with classified information or whether he or she has access to secure communication or information systems, and that the European Parliament's responsible service is informed.
