2. L’Autorité peut coopérer avec des pays tiers visés au paragraphe 1 qui appliquent une législation reconnue comme étant équivalente dans les domaines de compétence de l’Autorité visés à l’article 1er, paragraphe 2, comme le prévoient les accords internationaux conclus avec l’Union conformément à l’article 216 du traité sur le fonctionnement de l’Union européenne.

The Authority may cooperate with the countries referred to in paragraph 1, applying legislation which has been recognised as equivalent in the areas of competence of the Authority referred to in Article 1(2), as provided for in international agreements concluded by the Union in accordance with Article 216 TFEU.

3. Tout État membre auquel le paragraphe 2 s'applique peut disposer d'un délai supplémentaire n'excédant pas deux ans avant d'être tenu d'appliquer le droit de suite au profit des ayants droit de l'artiste après sa mort, si cela se révèle nécessaire pour permettre aux opérateurs économiques dans cet État membre de s'adapter progressivement au système du droit de suite, tout en maintenant leur rentabilité économique.
3. A Member State to which paragraph 2 applies may have up to two more years, if necessary to enable the economic operators in that Member State to adapt gradually to the resale right system while maintaining their economic viability, before it is required to apply the resale right for the benefit of those entitled under the artist after his/her death.
