The PESCO secretariat, provided jointly by the European External Action Service, including the European Union Military Staff (EUMS), and the European Defence Agency, as set out in Article 7 of Decision (CFSP) 2017/2315, is invited to provide initial feedback by the end of March 2018 with regards to the type, granularity and structure of information provided in the national implementation plans communicated by participating Member States in December 2017, in light of the fulfilment of their commitments.

E. considérant que les Nations unies ont décidé de proroger le mandat de la Minusca jusqu'au 30 avril 2016 et de fixer son effectif maximal autorisé à 10 750 militaires, dont 480 observateurs militaires et officiers d'état-major, et 2 080 policiers, dont 400 agents de police et 40 responsables des questions pénitentiaires;

29. Encourages further progress in the implementation of the EDA’s Capability Development Plan and urges, in the context of its review in 2013, that it be better integrated into national defence planning, which needs to be further harmonised; reiterates its call on the Member States to launch an institutionalised process of increased defence planning coordination both between themselves and within the EU Military Committee, based in particular on EDA advice; draws attention to the general need to step up cooperation between the EDA and the EU Military Committee/EU Military Staff; expects the Heads of State and Government to launch a European defence review during the European Council on defence in December 2013;
