Cooperation between the judiciary mainly operates through a mechanism called mutual recognition of judgments and judicial decisions (e.g. in the area of detention transfer of prisoners, the European Arrest Warrant, the European Investigation Order, the confiscation freezing of assets, and financial penalties).
