Dans notre précédent avis sur l’interopérabilité comme moyen de moderniser le secteur public , nous avions constaté que les citoyens sont de plus en plus conscients et inquiets du fait que les administrations publiques collectent et utilisent des données à caractère personnel ou des données collectées de manière plus générale.
In our previous opinion on ‘Interoperability as a means for modernising the public sector’ we noted that citizens were increasingly aware of, and concerned by, public administrations’ collection and usage of personal data or data collected more broadly.

À ce propos, j'aimerais profiter de l'occasion pour féliciter les fonctionnaires de Travaux publics qui ont travaillé d'arrache-pied à la modernisation de notre système d'administration de la paie et des pensions afin de faire épargner des millions de dollars annuellement aux contribuables.
In this regard, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the hard-working officials at Public Works who, through their efforts, are modernizing our pay and pension administration system and saving millions of dollars annually for taxpayers.
