5. dénonce vivement la décision de justice prise le 4 juin 2013 par la cour pénale du Caire, qui a condamné 43 membres d'ONG égyptiennes et étrangères à la détention, de fermer les sections locales des 5 ONG étrangères concernées et de confisquer leurs biens; estime que ce jugement à connotation politique, qui érige en délit le travail légitime d'organisations étrangères en Égypte, constitue une attaque inacceptable contre la liberté d'expression et d'association dans le pays et un coup grave porté contre les efforts de la communauté internationale et de l'Union européenne pour soutenir l'Égypte dans sa transition politique; demande instamment aux autorités égyptiennes de mettre fin sans délai à toutes les formes de harcèlement et d'intimidation que subissent les ONG indépendantes dans le pays et, en particulier, d'abandonner toutes les poursuites pénales à l'encontre de travailleurs de ces ONG;

Strongly denounces the judicial decision of 4 June 2013 by the Cairo Criminal Court to sentence 43 Egyptian and foreign NGO workers to jail, to close the local branches of the five foreign NGOs concerned and to confiscate their assets; considers that this politically motivated sentence, which criminalises the legitimate work of foreign organisations in Egypt, is an unacceptable attack on freedom of association and expression and constitutes a serious blow to international and EU efforts to support Egypt in its political transition; urges the Egyptian authorities to put an immediate end to all the forms of harassment and intimidation to which independent NGOs are subjected in the country and, especially, to drop all criminal charges against NGO workers;
