Welcomes the Commission’s commitment to promoting the automatic exchange of information as the future European and international standard for transparency and exchange of information in tax matters; calls once more for action beyond the OECD framework to address illicit financial flows, tax evasion and avoidance in view of their various shortcomings; deplores the fact that the OECD allows governments to escape its blacklist merely by promising to adhere to the information exchange principles, without ensuring that these principles are effectively put into practice; considers also that the requirement to conclude agreements with 12 other countries so that they can be removed from the blacklist is arbitrary, as it does not refer to any qualitative indicators for an objective assessment of compliance with good governance practices;

D’ici là, puisque les données sur les ressources en matières premières et sur leurs réserves ne sont pas du ressort d’Eurostat et qu’elles doivent donc être recueillies directement par les services géologiques des États membres, la Commission a lancé une étude sur les informations statistiques structurées concernant la qualité et l’importance des gisements de matières premières dans l’UE.
Meanwhile due to the unavailability of the data on resources and reserves of primary raw materials within the remit of EUROSTAT and the need to collect this data directly by the Member States' national geological surveys the Commission launched a study on structured statistical information on the quality and quantity of the EU raw materials deposits.
