(b) rappelle que, lors du sommet Union européenne – Amérique latine et Caraïbes, qui s’est tenu à Vienne en mai 2006, les chefs d’État et de gouvernement de l’Union européenne et de certaines républiques d’Amérique centrale ont décidé de lancer des négociations en vue de la conclusion d’un AA entre les deux régions, et que celles-ci ont été officiellement ouvertes en octobre 2007;
(b) Points out that at the European Union-Latin America and Caribbean Summit held in Vienna in May 2006, the Heads of State and Government of the European Union and of certain Central American Republics decided to open negotiations on an AA between the two regions, and that such negotiations officially opened in October 2007;

– having regard to the resolutions of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (EuroLat), and in particular the resolution of 20 December 2007 on EU-Latin America relations with a view to the Fifth Lima Summit and with special reference to democratic governance, the resolution of 8 April 2009 on the Euro-Latin American Charter for Peace and Security and the motion for a resolution of 15 October 2009 on the European Union–Latin America Partnership with a view to the Sixth Summit in Madrid in May 2010,

L’accord de transport aérien entre la Communauté européenne et ses États membres, d’une part, et les États-Unis d’Amérique, d’autre part (ci-après dénommé «accord de transport aérien»), signé par les États-Unis d’Amérique et les États membres de la Communauté européenne et la Communauté européenne les 25 et 30 avril 2007, tel que modifié par le protocole modifiant l’accord de transport aérien entre les États-Unis d’Amérique et la Communauté européenne et ses États membres, signé les 25 et 30 avril 2007 (ci-après dénommé «protocole»), signé par les États-Unis d’Amérique, les États membres de l’Union européenne et l’Union européenne le 24 juin 2010, prévoit explicitement l’adhésion de pays tiers à l’accord de transport aérien.
The Air Transport Agreement between the European Community and its Member States, on the one hand, and the United States of America, on the other hand (‘the Air Transport Agreement’), signed by the United States of America and the Member States of the European Community and the European Community on 25 and 30 April 2007, as amended by the Protocol to amend the Air Transport Agreement between the United States of America and the European Community and its Member States, signed on 25 and 30 April 2007 (‘the Protocol’), signed by the United States of America, the Member States of the European Union and the European Union on 24 June 2010, explicitly provides for the accession of third countries to the Air Transport Agreement.

– having regard to paragraph 31 of the Vienna Declaration, which notes the decision taken by the European Union and Central America at the Fourth European Union-Latin America and Caribbean Summit, held in Vienna on 12 May 2006, to open negotiations on an Association Agreement, which includes political dialogue, cooperation programmes and a trade agreement,
