ANNEXE RENFORCEMENT DU DIALOGUE POLITIQUE AVEC LES PAYS D'EUROPE CENTRALE ET ORIENTALE AYANT CONCLU UN ACCORD EUROPEEN D'ASSOCIATION CONCLUSIONS DU CONSEIL Conformément aux conclusions du Conseil européen de Copenhague de juin 1993, qui demandait l'instauration d'une relation structurée entre les pays associés d'Europe centrale et orientale et les institutions de l'Union européenne, le Conseil convient que les modalités ci-après sont adoptées pour instaurer un dialogue renforcé sur des questions de politique étrangère et de sécurité avec les six pays d'Europe centrale qui à ce jour ont signé un accord européen. - Le président du Conseil européen et le président de la Commission devraient rencontrer en principe une fois par an les chefs d'Etat ou de gouvernement des pays associés. - Le président de l'Union européenne tiendra, après chaque Conseil européen, une réunion d'information à l'intention des ambassadeurs des pays associés. - Les réunions avec les ministres des affaires étrangères des pays associés, prévues par le Conseil européen, se tiendront sous la forme de sessions d'un Conseil spécial avec les pays associés une fois par présidence afin de débattre de questions relatives à la PESC.
ANNEX REINFORCEMENT OF THE POLITICAL DIALOGUE WITH CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WHICH HAVE CONCLUDED A EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION AGREEMENT COUNCIL CONCLUSIONS In accordance with the conclusions of the June 1993 Copenhagen European Council which called for a structured relationship between the Associated Central and Eastern European countries and the institutions of the European Union, the Council agrees that the following modalities shall be adopted for establishing an enhanced dialogue on foreign and security policy issues with the six Central European countries which have at present signed Europe Agreements: - a meeting should be organized between the President of the European Council and the President of the Commission with the Heads of State or Government of the Associated countries in principle once a year; - the Presidency of the European Union will brief the Ambassadors of the Associated countries following each European Council; - meetings provided for by the European Council with Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Associated countries will be held in the form of meetings of a special Council with the Associated countries once per Presidency, in order to discuss CFSP matters.
