Je tiens à féliciter le Parlement européen pour cette réussite et à vous remercier pour le soutien que vous avez apporté à ma proposition, laquelle, je m'en souviens, avait rencontré une très forte résistance lorsque je l'avais présentée voici trois ans. Néanmoins, grâce à la qualité de la coopération entre le Parlement, la Commission et les États membres, nous sommes finalement parvenus à cet accord.
I would like to congratulate the European Parliament on this achievement and to thank you for the support you have given to my proposal, which I remember met with so much resistance when I put it forward three years ago. But, thanks to the good cooperation between Parliament and the Commission and the Member States, at the end we have got that agreement.
