The EU has raised the issue of the universal acceptance and implementation of the Ottawa Convention in the meetings involving political dialogue on global disarmament and arms control that it has held with all associate countries, with the EFTA countries that are members of the European Economic Area, with Canada, with the United States and with other countries such as Australia and regional groups such as the SADC.
