Given that in 1993 the Albanian Government adopted a constitutional law on human rights, Article 26 of which refers to the rights of minorities, given that the Council has stated that the EU promotes moves to find a solution to the problems facing ethnic groups on the basis of the principles of the state of law and the international obligations of the parties concerned and given finally that acts of this kind expose Albania to criticism from the international community and do nothing to further friendly relations and cooperation between Albania and Greece and Albania and the EU, will the Council say whether it intends to intervene to persuade the Albanian authorities to respect all the principles, democratic laws and human rights which constitute the basis for institutional relations between Albania and the EU and enable all members of the Greek minority to enjoy the fundamental right to be taught in and learn their mother tongue?
