Under Article 15 of Regulation (EC) No 318/2006, a surplus amount is to be levied on quantities of surplus sugar, surplus isoglucose and surplus inulin syrup not carried forward or exported, or used for the specific supply arrangements for the outermost regions, and on industrial sugar, industrial isoglucose and industrial inulin syrup for which no proof has been supplied, by a date to be determined, that it has been processed into one of the products referred to in Article 13(2) of that Regulation; and on quantities withdrawn from the market in accordance with Article 19 of that Regulation and for which the obligations provided for in Article 19(3) thereof are not met.

Given the fact that European patent applications may be filed in any language under Article 14(2) of the EPC, in accordance with Article 12 of Regulation xx/xx [substantive provisions], the participating Member States, shall give, within the meaning of Article 143 of the EPC, the European Patent Office the task of administering a compensation scheme of reimbursing all translation costs up to a ceiling, from the fees referred to in Article 13 of that Regulation, for applicants filing patent applications at the European Patent Office in one of the official languages of the Union that is not an official language of the European Patent Office.

(3) Any amount that is awarded in respect of the compulsory taking or using of land under this section or that is paid for a transfer or conveyance of land pursuant to this section shall be paid to the Director for the use and benefit of the person, if any, who is entitled to compensation or payment as a result of the exercise of the power referred to in subsection (1), and where the person so entitled is a veteran the amount so awarded shall be distributed in accordance with section 13 and, for the purposes of that section, shall be deemed to be proceeds of the sale of the land.
