Le député a soulevé un point très valable en ce qui a trait à la hausse des cotisations et ainsi de suite parce que, trop souvent, le gouvernement augmente les cotisations et enlève plus d'argent aux Canadiens alors que, en réalité, ce qu'il doit faire, c'est réorganiser ses priorités afin que l'argent dont il dispose puisse être utilisé de façon plus positive pour atténuer certaines des difficultés auxquelles se heurtent les gens qui doivent demander des prestations d'invalidité.
I think the hon. member has raised a valid point with respect to the increase in premiums and so forth because far too often what is happening is that the government is constantly increasing premiums and taking more money from people when in reality what we need to do is readjust our priorities so that the money that is there can be utilized in a more positive way to alleviate some of the difficulties that people who must go on disability encounter.
