La Communauté et l'Algérie établissent progressivement une zone de libre-échange pendant une période de transition de douze années au maximum à compter de la date d'entrée en vigueur du présent accord selon les modalités indiquées ci-après et en conformité avec les dispositions de l'accord général sur les tarifs douaniers et le commerce de 1994 et des autres accords multilatéraux sur le commerce de marchandises annexés à l'accord instituant l'Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC), dénommés ci-après «GATT».
The Community and Algeria shall gradually establish a free-trade area over a transitional period lasting a maximum of 12 years starting from the date of the entry into force of this Agreement in accordance with the following provisions and in conformity with those of the 1994 General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and the other multilateral agreements on trade in goods annexed to the Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation (WTO), hereinafter referred to as ‘GATT’.
