L'affaire concernant Viktor Uspaskich est la suivante: il est accusé d'avoir, entre le 13 juillet 2004 et le 17 mai 2006 à Vilnius, alors qu'il était président du Parti du travail, et agissant de concert avec d'autres personnes aux fins a) de s'efforcer de financer un parti politique – à savoir le Parti du travail – illégalement et b) de se soustraire au contrôle approprié du financement dudit parti et de ses campagnes politiques, dirigé un groupe organisé créé par eux-mêmes dans le but de commettre un certain nombre d'infractions pénales.
The case against Viktor Uspaskich is that, in Vilnius between 13 July 2004 and 17 May 2006, as chair of the Labour Party, acting in concert with others for the purposes of (a) attempting to finance a political party – namely the Labour Party – illegally and (b) evading proper supervision of the financing of the party and its political campaigns, he directed an organised group created by them in order to perpetrate a number of criminal offences.
