Le 23 novembre 2007 la Commission a adopté une communication concernant l'alignement général à la PRAC (COM(2007)740 final), où elle identifie 225 actes législatifs adoptés selon la procédure de codécision devant eux aussi faire l'objet d'une adaptation et figurant sur trois listes: la liste 1 ("liste générale") - 156 actes législatifs dont l'adaptation sera réalisée par des règlements modificatifs dits 'omnibus"; la liste 2 ("liste des actes en codification") - 23 actes législatifs dont l'adaptation se fera, soit par modification législative, soit par conversion de la proposition codifiée en refonte, en fonction de l'état d'avancement du processus de codification; la liste 3 ("liste des autres actes devant être adoptés") - dont l'adaptation, soit s'effectuera dans le cadre d'une modification substantielle de l'acte de base, qui ira au-delà des seuls aspects de comitologie, soit sera rendue inutile par son abrogation.
On 23 November 2007 the Commission adopted a communication on general adaptation to the PRAC (COM(2007)740 final), in which it identified 225 legislative acts adopted under the codecision procedure which should also be the subject of adaptation and which figure on three lists: list 1 (‘general list’) - 156 legislative acts that are to be adapted by means of so-called ‘omnibus' amending regulations; list 2 (‘list of instruments undergoing codification’) - 23 instruments that are to be adapted either by means of legislative amendment or by conversion of the codified proposal into a recast, depending on the stage reached in the codification procedure; list 3 (‘list of the other instruments needing adaptation’) which are to be adapted either in the context of a substantial amendment of the basic instrument going beyond the comitology aspects alone or which will be rendered superfluous by their repeal.

Evaluation of the registered information for all substances exceeding a production volume of 100 tonnes (around 5,000 substances corresponding to 15 percent) or, in case of concern, also for substances at lower tonnage; the evaluation will be carried out by authorities and include the development of substance-tailored testing programmes focussing on the effects of long-term exposure;

3. rappelle l'étude réalisée récemment par le Centre commun de recherche sur la coexistence des cultures modifiées et non modifiées, de laquelle il ressort que le coût de l'agriculture non modifiée en situation de coexistence sera considérablement plus élevé, notamment en raison des adaptations qu'imposent sur le plan structurel les exploitations pratiquant la production non modifiée; souligne avec force qu'il convient de prévenir de telles répercussions négatives pour l'agriculture normale;

Refers to the Joint Research Centre’s recent study on coexistence of modified and non-modified crops, from which it emerges that coexistence will involve significant cost increases for non-modified agriculture, partly because of the structural adjustments that would be needed on farms with non-modified production; calls urgently for this kind of detrimental effect on normal agriculture to be avoided;
