Protests vehemently against the execution in Iran on 30 January 2008 at 4 am local time of the Ahwazi activist Zamel Bawi, the 19th Ahwazi activist executed in the last twelve months, and urges the Iranian government to desist from executing the Dutch citizen and human-rights activist Faleh Abdulah al-Mansouri and the UNHCR-registered refugees Rasoul Ali Mazrea and Said Saki, whose resettlement to Norway has been secured, as well as to allow them to proceed to their countries of citizenship or refuge; calls for the release of the Kurdish journalists Abdolvahed "Hiwa" Butimar and Adnan Hassanpour who have been sentenced to death;

L'amendement oral s'énonce comme suit: «Proteste avec véhémence contre l'exécution, le 30 janvier 2008, en Iran, à 4 heures du matin heure locale, de l'activiste ahwazi Zamel Bawi, le 19 activiste ahwazi exécuté au cours des 12 derniers mois, et prie le gouvernement iranien de renoncer à l'exécution du citoyen néerlandais et militant des droits de l'homme Faleh Abdulah al-Mansouri et les réfugiés enregistrés à l'UNHCR Rasoul Ali Mazrea et Said Saki, dont la réinsertion en Norvège a été garantie, et de les autoriser à se rendre dans leur pays de citoyenneté et de refuge».
The oral amendment reads as follows: ‘Protests vehemently against the execution in Iran on 30 January 2008 at 4 a.m. local time of the Ahwazi activist Zamel Bawi, the 19th Ahwazi activist executed in the last 12 months, and urges the Iranian government to desist from executing the Dutch citizen and human-rights activist Faleh Abdulah al-Mansouri and the UNHCR-registered refugees Rasoul Ali Mazrea and Said Saki, whose resettlement to Norway has been secured, as well as to allow them to proceed to their countries of citizenship or refuge’.

À la lumière des récents événements, j’aimerais citer les noms d’activistes politiques de la communauté des Arabes ahwazi qui ont été condamnés à mort, et demander au gouvernement iranien de ne pas les exécuter.
In the light of recent events, I should like to mention the names of political activists belonging to the Ahwazi Arab community who have been condemned to death, and to call on the Iranian Government not to execute them.
