Stresses the importance of the international community providing protection and aid, including military protection and aid, in accordance with international law, to all those targeted by the so-called ‘ISIS/Daesh’ and other terrorist organisations in the Middle East, such as ethnic and religious minorities, and of such people’s participation in future political lasting solutions; calls on all parties involved in the conflict to respect universal human rights and to facilitate the provision of humanitarian aid and assistance through all possible channels; calls for the creation of humanitarian corridors; considers that safe havens, protected by UN-mandated forces, could be part of the answer to the massive challenge of providing temporary protection for millions of refugees from the conflict in Syria and Iraq;

4. invite l'Iran à repenser sa politique au Proche-Orient et à contribuer à concilier les deux objectifs suivants: d'une part, la création d'un État palestinien viable et démocratique et la fin des occupations de territoires et, d'autre part, le droit d'Israël à vivre dans la paix et dans la sécurité à l'intérieur de frontières internationalement reconnues; invite de surcroît l'Iran à confirmer ce droit et à utiliser son influence au Proche-Orient pour dissuader les mouvements avec lesquels il entretient des relations de recourir à la violence; invite également l'Iran à user de son influence pour obtenir la libération des soldats islaéliens détenus par ces groupes;

Calls on Iran to reconsider its policy in the Middle East and help to reconcile two objectives: firstly, the creation of a viable and democratic Palestinian State and the end of the occupations, and secondly, the right of Israel to live in peace and security within internationally recognised borders; calls on Iran, furthermore, to confirm this right and use its influence in the Middle East to persuade those movements with which it maintains relations to refrain from the use of violence; calls on Iran to further use its influence to secure the release of Israeli soldiers being held by these groups;
