Il était aussi proposé d'aligner le cadre de gestion informatique sur celui qui est prévu par les règlements SIS II et VIS, via la reprise de la gestion opérationnelle d'EURODAC par la future agence pour la gestion opérationnelle des systèmes d'information à grande échelle dans le domaine de la liberté, de la sécurité et de la justice.

In June 2009 the Commission presented a package proposal to establish an Agency responsible for the operational management of large-scale information technology systems in the area of freedom, security and justice, consisting of a proposal for a regulation establishing the Agency and a proposal for a Council Decision conferring upon the Agency established by this regulation tasks regarding the operational management of the Second Schengen Information System (SIS II), the Visa Information System (VIS) and the European Dactylscopy (EURODAC) in application of Title VI of the EU Treaty, under the former third pillar.

La Commission a récemment présenté au Parlement européen et au Conseil une proposition modifiée relative à la création d’une agence pour la gestion opérationnelle des systèmes d’information à grande échelle dans le domaine de la liberté, de la sécurité et de la justice[81]. La future agence IT aura pour mission d'assurer la gestion opérationnelle du SIS II, du VIS et d'EURODAC, ainsi que de tout autre futur système informatique dans le domaine de la liberté, de la sécurité et de la justice, de manière à ce que ces systèmes fonctionnent en permanence, en garantissant ainsi la continuité du flux d'information.
The Commission has recently submitted to the European Parliament and the Council an amended proposal on establishing an Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice.[81] The future IT Agency’s task will be to fulfil the operational management of SIS II, VIS and EURODAC, and any other future IT system in the area of freedom, security and justice, so as to keep these systems functioning on a permanent basis, thus ensuring the uninterrupted flow of information.
