La résolution du Conseil du 15 décembre 1998 relative à une stratégie forestière pour l’Union européenne[1] a établi un cadre d’action en faveur de la gestion durable des forêts (GDF), fondé sur la coordination des politiques forestières des États membres et des politiques et initiatives communautaires en rapport avec les forêts et la foresterie.
