Dans ce contexte, nous trouvons aussi le discours sur l'opportunité que la Commission réussisse à fournir une information plus articulée et complexe sur l'évaluation des projets qui concerne essentiellement un aspect socio-économique plutôt qu'un aspect purement comptable, mettant en évidence si le but de réduire la différence de développement entre les régions a été atteint ou non : une information qui doit être donnée à temps au Parlement européen et non - comme cela s'est passé ici avec le fonds de cohésion - avec environ deux ans de retard, parce que cela empêche évidemment une remodulation en temps utiles des interventions à travers la correction des dysfonctionnements.
Linked to this is the point that it would be beneficial if the Commission were to provide clearer, more comprehensive information of an essentially social and economic rather than accounting nature on the evaluation of projects, highlighting whether the aim of reducing disparities between the levels of development of the various regions has been achieved; the European Parliament needs to receive this information in due time, not – as has happened this time with regard to the Cohesion Fund – two years late, for that clearly makes it impossible to correct shortcomings and reprogramme operations in useful time.
