The genealogical documents and historical documents that I referred to earlier in my presentation equally apply to the South Slave Metis, the very Metis that the Akaitcho Dene are taking to court, claiming that they do not possess Aboriginal rights and therefore the Crown has no business negotiating a land and resource agreement with them.
