Si je puis me permettre, je voudrais pour terminer donner mon avis sur certains amendements afin de clarifier la position de la Commission et je commencerai par les amendements 30 et 57. Ceux-ci sont en contradiction avec la proposition concernant la traçabilité et l'étiquetage dans le mesure où ils élargissent le champ d'application de la directive pour y inclure également les produits destinés à la consommation humaine et animale fabriqués à l'aide d'OGM.
If, finally, I may now offer my views on certain of the amendments in order to clarify the Commission’s attitude, I will begin by commenting on Amendment Nos 30 and 57 which cannot be approved because they go against the proposal on traceability and marking by extending the proposal also to include food and feed manufactured with the aid of GMOs.

Par ailleurs, le mandat de l'Autorité devrait être étendu afin d'inclure la santé et le bien-être des animaux, la santé des plantes, les OGM et l'étiquetage des aliments. Bien sûr, la santé et le bien-être de nos citoyens revêtent une importance capitale.
