Mme Loyola de Palacio a souligné «la grande importance de la CMR: même s'il nous faudra confirmer en 2003 certaines conditions techniques qui devraient permettre d'optimiser le système en cours de développement actuellement, nous pouvons affirmer que la conférence d'Istanbul aura permis le décollage de GALILEO».
Ms Loyola de Palacio stressed "the great importance of the WRC conference: even if we will have to confirm some technical conditions in 2003, which should optimise the system we are currently developing, we can say that the Istanbul conference made possible the GALILEO take-off".
