1. Le présent règlement établit des orientations pour le développement et l'interopérabilité en temps utile des corridors et domaines prioritaires en matière d'infrastructures énergétiques transeuropéennes énoncés à l'annexe I (ci-après dénommés «corridors et domaines prioritaires en matière d'infrastructures énergétiques»).
1. This Regulation lays down guidelines for the timely development and interoperability of priority corridors and areas of trans-European energy infrastructure set out in Annex I (‘energy infrastructure priority corridors and areas’).

À l'issue de consultations approfondies avec l'ensemble des États membres et parties intéressées, la Commission a recensé douze priorités en matière d'infrastructures énergétiques transeuropéennes stratégiques, dont la mise en œuvre d'ici à 2020 est essentielle pour la réalisation des objectifs de l'Union en matière de politique énergétique et climatique.
Following close consultations with all Member States and stakeholders, the Commission has identified 12 strategic trans-European energy infrastructure priorities, the implementation of which by 2020 is essential for the achievement of the Union’s energy and climate policy objectives.

Le règlement (UE) no 347/2013 du Parlement européen et du Conseil ("orientations pour les infrastructures énergétiques transeuropéennes") identifie les priorités en matière d'infrastructures énergétiques transeuropéennes qu'il convient de mettre en œuvre d'ici à 2020 afin d'atteindre les objectifs de l'Union en matière de politique de l'énergie et du climat. Il fixe des règles pour recenser les projets d'intérêt commun nécessaires à la mise en œuvre de ces priorités, et établit des mesures dans le domaine de l'octroi d'autorisations, de la participation du secteur public et de la réglementation pour accélérer et/ou faciliter la réalisation de ces projets, et prévoit également des critères d'éligibilité de ces projets à un concours financier de l'Union.
Regulation (EU) No 347/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council identifies the trans-European energy infrastructure priorities which need to be implemented by 2020 in order to meet the Union's energy and climate policy objectives, sets rules to identify projects of common interest necessary to implement those priorities, and lays down measures in the field of the granting of permits, public involvement and regulation to speed up and/or facilitate the implementation of those projects, including criteria for the eligibility of such projects for Union financial assistance.
