We have no objections regarding the proposal in itself but there must be more monitoring of the process by Parliament, which should ensure that the objectives of the decision are being met, and there should also be clearer commitments on the part of the Commission as regards the gathering of statistics concerning the distribution of Community funds and the agri-environmental factors underlying this decision.
