The Commission found that this aid was mere operating aid granted without furthering any objective of common interest and which could not be declared compatible with the internal market.The beneficiaries therefore need to pay back this undue advantage (around €2.4 million for Ryanair/AMS and around €400 000 for Transavia), in order to remove the distortion of competition the incompatible aid has created.
