Je sais que j'ai eu l'air de plaisanter comme cela, mais cette histoire ne me fait pas rigoler, car lorsque je l'ai lue il y a 20 ou 25 ans, elle m'a fait comprendre très clairement la nature cumulative des problèmes d'environnement et d'appauvrissement auxquels font face notre planète et notre civilisation.
I know I have been a bit facetious but I am not being facetious when it comes to that story because when I read it some 20 or 25 years ago, it spoke very powerfully to me of the nature of the cumulative environmental and depletion problems that we face as a planet and a civilization.
