À mon avis, le mieux à faire dans ce cas, c'est d'adopter une approche plus équilibrée, c'est-à-dire d'envisager la question à l'échelle régionale, et de mettre davantage l'accent sur la conférence proposée, à la fin de l'année, sur une zone exempte d'ADM au Moyen-Orient, une vision qui est loin d'être réalisée, mais qui représente néanmoins un processus qui pourrait rassembler des parties très éloignées dans les négociations et créer un climat de confiance à plus long terme.
I personally think that the best promise here is to be dealing with the region in a more balanced way, to be looking at it region-wide, and to be placing greater emphasis on the proposed conference at the end of this year on a WMD-free zone across the Middle East, a vision that is a long way away from being realized but that is nevertheless a process that could pull together very difficult partners in negotiations and build confidence over a longer period.
