One of the things I learned when I came to the Hill was that the steel industry is the most integrated industry in North America, leading by far any other sector in terms of its production integration, in terms of productivity, although Canadian steelmakers are actually more productive than the Americans because major restructuring took place here that preceded what happened in the States.
