(7 bis) Conformément aux règlements (CE) n° 2725/2000 et n° 407/2002 du Conseil, une unité centrale est mise en place au sein de la Commission, laquelle est chargée du fonctionnement de la base de données centrale d'EURODAC et d'autres tâches connexes.
(7a) According to Regulations (EC) No 2725/2000 and (EC) No 407/2002, a central Unit is established within the Commission which is responsible for the operation of the central database of Eurodac and other tasks related to it.

The data shall be collected at the level of smaller administrative units (local administrative units 2), in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1059/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 May 2003 on the establishment of a common classification of territorial units for statistics (NUTS) (OJ L 154, 21.6.2003, p. 1).

(12) Dans le cadre des principes prévus par la résolution du Conseil du 7 mai 1985, des exigences essentielles en matière de sécurité, sûreté, manutention, arrimage, stabilité, identification, nécessaires pour les unités de chargement intermodales et pour les unités européennes de chargement intermodales sont prévues par la présente directive en annexes I et II. Ces exigences seront complétées par des exigences particulières indispensables pour assurer l'interopérabilité.
(12) In the context of the principles provided for in the Council Resolution of 7 May 1985, essential requirements in terms of security, safety, handling, securing, strength and identification which are required for intermodal loading units and European intermodal loading units are provided for in this Directive in Annexes I and II. These requirements will be complemented by specific requirements which are essential for ensuring interoperability.

Pour les activités économiques, les unités statistiques sont les unités locales ou les unités d'activité économique définies par le règlement (CEE) nº 696/93 du Conseil relatif aux unités statistiques d'observation et d'analyse du système productif dans la Communauté, conformément au système statistique de chaque État membre.
For economic activities, statistical units are Local Units or Kind of Activity Units , as defined in Council Regulation 696/93/EEC on the statistical units for the observation and analysis of the production system in the Community, according to each Member State's statistical system.
