Tout État membre peut, soit lors de l’adoption de la présente décision-cadre, soit à une date ultérieure, indiquer dans une déclaration déposée auprès du secrétariat général du Conseil qu’il acceptera une traduction dans une ou plusieurs autres langues officielles des institutions de l’Union européenne.
Any Member State may, either when this Framework Decision is adopted or at a later date, state in a declaration deposited with the General Secretariat of the Council that it will accept a translation in one or more other official languages of the Institutions of the European Union.

C. considérant que, le 13 décembre 2006, le Bureau a reconnu que les difficultés d'assurer une couverture linguistique suffisante pour le maltais, le roumain, le bulgare et l'irlandais étaient telles que les conditions d'une dérogation aux dispositions de l'article 138 pour chacune de ces langues étaient remplies; considérant que, en vertu de décisions ultérieures du Bureau, ces dérogations ont été prorogées de sorte qu'à partir du 1janvier 2009 et jusqu'à la fin de la législature, une dérogation s'applique au bulgare et au roumain (interprétation), au tchèque (interprétation durant la présidence tchèque du Conseil), au maltais (interprétation et traduction) et à l'irlandais (interprétation, traduction et vérification juridico-linguistique),
C. whereas, on 13 December 2006, the Bureau accepted that the difficulties of providing sufficient language cover for Maltese, Romanian, Bulgarian and Irish were such that the conditions were fulfilled for a derogation from Rule 138 in respect of each of those languages; whereas by subsequent Bureau decisions those derogations have been extended such that from 1 January 2009 until the end of the parliamentary term a derogation applies in respect of Bulgarian and Romanian (interpretation), Czech (interpretation during the Czech Council Presidency), Maltese (interpretation and translation) and Irish (interpretation, translation and legal-linguistic verification),
