Les Autoroutes de la mer sont un nouveau concept de transport intermodal reposant sur des liaisons maritimes fréquentes, régulières et de qualité entre certains itinéraires maritimes et un nombre restreint de ports ou de régions portuaires offrant une capacité suffisante et d'excellentes liaisons avec l'arrière-pays.
Motorways of the sea represent a new concept of intermodal transport based on high quality, frequent and regular maritime links between sea routes and a limited number of ports or port regions with sufficient capacity and with very good hinterland connections.

- 3 - Sous-programme 5 - Développement agricole et rural Ce sous-programme représente un coût total de 204 000 écus, dont 161 000 seront affectés à des opérations destinées à améliorer la qualité, l'innovation, la promotion et la commercialisation des produits agricoles, ainsi qu'à limiter l'exode rural dans l'arrière-pays en offrant un large éventail de possibilités de revenus.
Sub-programme 5 - Agricultural and Rural Development This sub-programme accounts for a total cost of 204.000 ECU, of which 161.000 will be spend on operations to improve the quality, innovation, promotion and commercialisation of agricultural products, so as to limit the population exodus from the rural interior by providing a wider range of income possibilities.

La possibilité de créer des emplois dans le secteur touristique devra être exploitée; - développer le secteur touristique humain; - renforcer les relations entre la côte et l'arrière-pays. d) Pour les infrastructures - Désenclaver le Westhoek grâce à des mesures d'infrastructure concernant les routes, les chemins de fer et les voies d'eau; - assurer la régulation des eaux en relation avec l'approvisionnement en eau et l'épuration; - développer une infrastructure de traitement des déchets. e) Pour l'environnement - Protéger des paysages et des régions naturelles de grande valeur. Dans des régions écologiquement importantes et dans des réserves naturelles, priorité sera donnée à la nature et au paysage.
