4. L’OLAF peut contribuer aux travaux d’Eurojust visant à coordonner les enquêtes et poursuites en ce qui concerne la protection des intérêts financiers des Communautés européennes, soit à l’initiative d’Eurojust, soit à la demande de l’OLAF, pour autant que les autorités nationales compétentes en la matière ne s’y opposent pas.
4. OLAF may contribute to Eurojust’s work to coordinate investigations and prosecution procedures regarding the protection of the financial interests of the European Communities, either on the initiative of Eurojust or at the request of OLAF where the competent national authorities concerned do not oppose such participation.

4. Dans le cas où l’application de certaines dispositions de la politique agricole commune en vigueur ferait apparaître une lacune préjudiciable aux intérêts financiers de la Communauté, les États membres se consultent, à la demande soit de l’un d’entre eux, soit de la Commission, dans les conditions prévues au paragraphe 3, et le cas échéant au sein du Cocolaf ou de toute autre instance compétente, en vue de remédier à cette lacune.
4. At the request of a Member State or, under the arrangements laid down in paragraph 3, of the Commission, the Member States shall consult each other, where appropriate, within the Cocolaf or any other competent body, for the purpose of closing any loopholes which become apparent in the course of application of current provisions of the common agricultural policy and which prejudice the Community’s financial interests.

(25) It is necessary to ensure that any measures taken by virtue of this Regulation are in full accordance with the Community interest; the assessment of the Community interest involves the identification of any compelling reasons which would lead to the clear conclusion that the taking of measures would not be in the overall interest of the Community.

Though the establishment of a consultative mechanism for dialogue between the regional and local authorities of the two Parties is not explicitly provided for in the aforementioned Europe Agreement, the Commission proposes that a Joint Consultative Committee representing the regional and local authorities of both parties be set up by the Association Council in support of the keen interest expressed, in this respect, by both sides, represented by the Committee of the Regions, of the part of the Community, and by the Slovak Liaison Committee for Co-operation with the Committee of the Regions of the European Communities, of the part of the Slovak Republic.

By a declaration made at the time of the signing of this Protocol or at any time thereafter, any Member State shall be able to accept the jurisdiction of the Court of Justice of the European Communities to give preliminary rulings on the interpretation of the Convention on the protection of the European Communities' financial interests and the first Protocol to that Convention pursuant to the conditions specified in either paragraph 2 (a) or paragraph 2 (b).
