Il est convenu : Que le Comité permanent de l’environnement et du développement durable procède à la création d’un sous-comité avec le Comité permanent des pêches et des océans en vue d’examiner les questions liées à la gestion environnementale de l’industrie aquicole, à l'automne; - Que le sous-comité soit composé d’un nombre égal de membres ou de membres associés du Comité permanent de l’environnement et du développement durable et du Comité permanent des pêches et océans et qu’un coprésident de chaque comité soit élu; - Que l'étude porte en particulier sur la réglementation et l'utilisation des pesticides et des médicaments à usage vétérinaire, la production et le rejet de déchets et l’effet des substances nutritives provenant de l’aquaculture sur l’environnement océanique.
It was agreed: - That the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development proceed to establish a joint sub-committee with the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans to examine issues relating to the environmental management of the aquaculture industry in the autumn; - That the sub-committee be composed an equal number of Members or associate Members from the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development and the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans and that a co-chair from each committee be elected; - That the study examine in particular the regulation and use of pesticides and veterinary drugs, the generation and release of wastes and the effects of nutrients on the ocean environment as a result of aquaculture.

Mr. Speaker, I have the honour today to present, in both official languages, the following reports of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts: the 10th report on the Public Accounts of Canada for the fiscal period ending March 31, 2009; the 11th report of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, Chapter 7, Emergency Management, Public Safety Canada, of the 2009 Fall Report of the Auditor General of Canada; and finally, the 12th report of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, Chapter 3, Income Tax Legislation, of the 2009 Fall Report of the Auditor General of Canada.

As well, even though the Standing Committee on Official Languages held consultations in the fall of 2006 and in May released a report containing 39 serious recommendations about official languages and linguistic duality, the government has announced that the Minister for la Francophonie and Official Languages will hold a consultation on this same subject in the fall, which proves how little it listens to these communities.
