(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), if, for a series of a stratified investment plan and any particular day in a fiscal year of the investment plan, the total of all amounts — each of which is the total value of the particular units of the series held on that day either by a person that is an individual or a specified investor in the investment plan for the fiscal year and in respect of which the investment plan knows whether or not the person is resident in Canada on that day and knows, in the case of individuals and specified investors resident in Canada, the province in which the person is resident on that day or by a person that is neither an individual nor a specified investor in the investment plan and in respect of which the investment plan knows the person’s investor percentage for each participating province as of that day — is less than 50% of the total value of the units of the series on that day, the following rules apply:

237 (1) Where the reporting period of a registrant is a fiscal year, the registrant shall, within one month after the end of each fiscal quarter of the registrant ending in the reporting period, pay to the Receiver General an instalment equal to 1/4 of the amount that would be the net tax for the reporting period if the description of A in subsection 225.2(2), as adapted by subsection 48(1) of the Selected Listed Financial Institution Attribution Method (GST/HST) Regulations, were read as “in the case of a series of the financial institution in respect of which section 62 of the Selected Listed Financial Institution Attribution Method (GST/HST) Regulations applies for the fiscal year, is an estimate of the financial institution’s percentage for the series, for the participating province and for the preceding taxation year of the financial institution, as determined by the financial institution, and, in the case of any other series of the financial institution, is the financial institution’s percentage for the series, for the participating province and for the preceding taxation year of the financial institution, determined for financial institutions of that class in accordance with those Regulations”.

Instructs its President to forward this decision, together with the decision on discharge in respect of the implementation of the European Union general budget for the financial year 2006, Section III – Commission and the resolution that forms an integral part of that decision, to the director of the Intelligent Energy Executive Agency, the Council, the Commission, the Court of Justice and the Court of Auditors, and to arrange for its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union (L series).

(E) considérant que, suite à une chute de 40 % de la demande de cartes de circuits imprimés pour l’exercice 2008/2009, ATS a décidé en novembre 2008 de transférer la totalité de sa production de masse de cartes de circuits imprimés de Leoben à Shanghai, provoquant une longue série de licenciements dans cette ville, avec 603 licenciements entre novembre 2008 et décembre 2009, et que 200 emplois supplémentaires ont été perdus après la fermeture du site ATS de Fohndorf, situé à environ 50 km de Leoben,
(E) Whereas, as a result of 40% drop in demand for PCBs in the business year 2008/2009, ATS decided in November 2008 to move entire PCB mass production from Loeben to Shanghai causing a chain of redundancies in this city amounting to 603 dismissals between November 2008 and December 2009 and whereas another 200 lay-offs took place following the closure of ATS Fohndorf site 50 km away from Loeben;

Is pleased to note that the Court of Auditors has been able to obtain reasonable assurance that the annual accounts for the financial year ended 31 December 2004 are reliable and that the underlying transactions, taken as a whole, are legal and regular; is however worried about the fact that the Court of Auditors had to exclude from this statement a series of contracts concluded by the EUMC; calls upon the EUMC to undertake all necessary steps in order to avoid such criticism in the future;

Dans l’exercice de cette responsabilité, j’ai eu le triste devoir de consacrer les derniers jours de l’été à publier, au nom de cette Assemblée, une série de communiqués condamnant sans réserve les attentats et actions terroristes qui ont été perpétrés de la façon la plus sauvage et la plus cruelle, dans différentes régions du monde.
I have had occasion to discharge the aforementioned responsibility during the last few days of the summer break. It has been my sad duty to issue a series of statements on behalf of the House, condemning unequivocally those terrorist attacks and actions inflicted on different parts of the world in a most cruel and savage manner.
