24. se félicite de la création de l’Institut européen d'innovation et de technologie créé afin de stimuler et d'élaborer des produits innovants de premier plan à l’échelle mondiale, en regroupant les mondes de l’enseignement supérieur, de la recherche et de l’entreprise autour d’un objectif commun; souligne la contribution importante que peut apporter l'Institut par des mesures de soutien aux programmes d'innovation ainsi que le rôle essentiel qu'il peut jouer à cet égard; demande instamment à la Commission de définir le budget de l'Institut de telle sorte que les moyens financiers qui y sont inscrits, ajoutés aux autres sources de financement, permettent d'atteindre la masse critique indispensable pour relever les défis fondamentaux auxquels sont confrontées les sociétés européennes et pour les étudier dans toute leur complexité;
