En adoptant hier l'amendement gouvernemental 5.3 aux pages 116 et 177, nous avons conduit les deux amendements suivants irrecevables, pour ainsi dire, à savoir l'amendement de Mme Kraft Sloan à la page 118 et l'amendement de M. Laliberte à la page 119.
The adoption yesterday of government amendment 5.3 on pages 116 and 117 is of a nature that makes the following two amendments not movable—if there is a word like that—namely, the amendment by Madam Kraft Sloan on page 118, and the amendment by Mr. Laliberte on page 119.

Je pense que les amendements adoptés hier soir lors de la réunion de la commission des affaires juridiques apporteront ces garanties. Je dois pourtant souligner que, personnellement, ils ne me satisfont pas tout à fait, sur un point en particulier.

We must, therefore, be consistent, and adopt a very firm amendment requiring that, in the case of accidents of this type, what is not covered by the international convention should be covered by our directive.
