TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Dans le cadre de l'objectif thématique consistant à promouvoir l'inclusion sociale et à lutter contre la pauvreté, et compte tenu de l'importance de cet objectif dans la pratique, il est nécessaire de veiller à ce que, dans le cas du programme transfrontalier PEACE entre l'Irlande du Nord et les comtés frontaliers de l'Irlande en faveur de la paix et de la réconciliation, le FEDER contribue également à favoriser la stabilité sociale et économique dans les régions concernées, notamment par des actions destinées à renforcer la cohésion entre les communautés.
Within the thematic objective of promoting social inclusion and combating poverty and taking into account its practical importance, it is necessary to ensure that, in the case of the PEACE cross-border programme between Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland in support of peace and reconciliation, the ERDF should also contribute to promoting social and economic stability in the regions concerned, in particular through actions to promote cohesion between communities.

D’après les rapports des études de cas consacrées au Danemark, à l’Espagne, à l’Irlande, à la Lituanie, à la Roumanie et à la Slovaquie, la décentralisation a facilité: - des actions menées au plus près des citoyens et reflétant donc les réalités sociales du pays; - la communication et la coopération au sein d’un ensemble comprenant plusieurs organisations luttant contre des types différents de discrimination; - la prise de contact avec de plus petites ONG, dont la participation a ensuite été soutenue.
The country case-study reports from Denmark, Ireland, Lithuania, Romania, Spain and Slovakia found that the decentralised approach had facilitated: - actions that were close to the citizen and that therefore reflected social realities; - opportunities for communication and cooperation within a group comprising several organisations representing different grounds for discrimination; - identification of smaller NGOs and their empowerment for participation.

Cependant, le fait que la Commission ait envoyé une lettre par avis motivé au gouvernement irlandais ne signifie pas, comme cela a été dit, que l’Irlande va se voir infliger une amende de plusieurs centaines de millions d’euros par l’Union européenne, ou que la construction de cette route, qui a déjà commencé, doit être arrêtée, ou qu’une action en justice sera engagée contre l’Irlande.
However, the Commission sending a letter by reasoned opinion to the Irish Government does not mean, as has been reported, that Ireland is going to be fined hundreds of millions of euros by the European Union or that the building of this road, which has commenced, has to stop, or that legal action will be taken against Ireland.

6. Deplores the fact that some Member States did not implement the directive before the deadline for transposition of 24 October 1998, thereby obliging the Commission to take legal action on 11 January 2000 against France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland, but notes that all Member States have now done so; calls on Ireland to immediately notify to the Commission its recent law of implementation; regrets the fact that the tardy implementation of the directive by the Member States and the continuing differences in the way in which it is applied at national level have prevented economic operators from drawing maximum benefit from it, and have blocked some cross-border activities within the European Union;
