From the date of entry into force of the Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters signed at Brussels on 4 November 2009, which corresponds to the seventeenth day of Heshvan 5770 in the Hebrew calendar, (hereinafter the "Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters") customs duties and charges having equivalent effect (including their agriculture component), which are applicable on the import into the State of Israel of agricultural products, processed agricultural products, fish and fishery products originating in the European Community shall be eliminated, except for those products listed in Table 1 of the Annex.

1. Les droits de douane à l'importation ou à l'exportation sont supprimés dans les échanges entre les parties des produits mentionnés à l'article 1er à compter de la date d'entrée en vigueur du présent accord, sauf les droits de douane à l'importation en Turquie des produits énumérés à l'annexe II, qui sont supprimés en trois ans, à partir du premier jour du mois suivant la date d'entrée en vigueur de l'accord conformément à l'article 20, selon le calendrier établi à l'annexe II, à savoir une réduction de 50 % des droits consolidés spécifiés à l'annexe II pendant la première année suivant l'entrée en vigueur du présent accord et une réduction supplémentaire de 25 % de ces droits pendant la deuxième et la troisième années suivant l'entrée en vigueur du présent accord.
1. Customs duties on imports or exports shall be abolished in trade between the Parties in the products referred to in Article 1 on the date of entry into force of this Agreement, save that customs duties in respect of imports into Turkey of those products set out in Annex II shall be abolished over three years beginning on the first day of the month following the date on which the Agreement enters into force pursuant to Article 20 in accordance with the schedule set out in Annex II, namely a reduction to 50 % of the consolidated duties specified in Annex II during the first year of this Agreement and by way of a further reduction to 25 % of those duties during the second and third years of this Agreement.
